A bit about you:
You live and breathe social media—from Instagram Reels and TikTok trends to LinkedIn storytelling and engaging carousel posts. You’re a visual thinker, creative storyteller, and detail-oriented content planner who can bring ideas to life in a way that stops the scroll.
You're not just about posting for the sake of posting—you understand what makes content perform and how to build real engagement. With at least three years of experience in social media marketing, you’ve developed a strong sense of what works, what doesn’t, and how to craft content that delivers results.
You’re confident in planning and executing social media strategies, from writing compelling captions to scheduling content and analysing performance. While you’ll largely collaborate with our designers and video editors to create high-quality content, you also have the skills to produce your own when needed—whether that’s putting together snappy Reels, simple graphics, or capturing content on the go.
You’re creative, strategic, and adaptable, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling that connects brands with their audiences.
The Role
As our Social Media Manager, your mission is to create, manage, and execute high-quality social media content that brings brands to life. This isn’t just about keeping platforms active—it’s about strategic content creation that drives engagement and delivers results.
With your experience and expertise, you’ll be responsible for content planning, creative storytelling, and community engagement, ensuring our clients receive a level of service that is strategic, innovative, and results-driven. Creativity is at the heart of this role—we want your ideas, insights, and fresh perspectives to help shape compelling content across both retainer and project-based work.
Beyond content execution, you’ll also play a key role in pre-production and production collaboration, working closely with our Managing Director, Client Care & Operations Manager and production team to develop story-driven content strategies.
From storyboarding and scripting to shot planning and creative brainstorming, you’ll help ensure that our video and visual content is not only engaging but also aligns seamlessly with broader marketing goals.
You’ll work with a clear understanding of brand positioning and audience engagement, crafting content that not only stands out in a crowded digital world but also aligns with broader marketing objectives and business goals.
Clients will be working with an expert who knows how to navigate the ever-changing social landscape, ensuring their brand remains relevant, engaging, and ahead of the curve.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Social Media Execution
- Plan, create, and publish organic social media content across various platforms.
- Manage content calendars, ensuring consistency and high-quality output.
- Create original social media content, including Reels, Stories, and other platform-specific formats, as needed.
- Write engaging captions and social media copy that capture brand voices.
- Work with designers to develop visually compelling graphics and carousel posts.
- Collaborate with our production team to produce Reels and visual content as required.
Community Engagement & Growth
- Monitor and engage with audiences through comments, messages, and discussions.
- Identify opportunities for brand engagement and trend participation.
- Track what’s working (and what’s not) and adjust content strategies accordingly.
Performance Tracking & Optimisation
- Monitor social media analytics, tracking engagement, reach, and conversions.
- Provide monthly performance reports with data-driven insights.
- Experiment with new formats and strategies to optimise content performance.
Pre-Production & Production Collaboration
- Work with the production team to develop creative content strategies.
- Assist in storyboarding, scripting, and shot planning for video content.
- Be present on shoot days when needed, ensuring content aligns with marketing goals.
- Provide creative input on brand messaging and content direction.
Skills We’re Looking For
- Social Media Strategy & Content Planning – You have at least three years of hands-on experience managing social media accounts, crafting content strategies, and executing campaigns that drive engagement.
- Creative Thinking & Visual Storytelling – You can transform ideas into compelling visuals and stories.
- Community Engagement & Growth – You understand how to build authentic connections with audiences.
- Writing & Brand Voice Development – You can write sharp, engaging captions that reflect a brand’s personality.
- Collaboration & Adaptability – You’re a team player, working closely with designers, video editors, and strategists.
- Bonus: Experience with paid ads or other areas of the digital marketing mix is a plus, but not essential.
